Here’s what the code from Turtle Challenge #143 draws. This picture was made by running the code for real.

The answers
How many points will the star have? 12 points. The turtle draws 12 lines and makes a sharp point at every turn.
How far does the turtle turn altogether? 12 × 150 = 1800 degrees. That’s 5 whole turns, so the star closes up neatly.
How the code works
Turning by a big angle like 150 degrees makes the turtle cross back over its own lines, which makes a star instead of a plain shape. Because 12 × 150 is an exact number of full turns (5), the turtle ends up back at the start.
import turtle
t = turtle.Turtle()
t.speed(0)
t.pensize(3)
t.pencolor("mediumpurple")
for point in range(12):
t.forward(180)
t.left(150)
t.hideturtle()
turtle.done()
Try it: Try for point in range(5) with t.left(144). That’s the classic five-pointed star!
