This page is for everyone: kids and grown-ups. We’ve kept it short and simple.
For kids
- You don’t need an account. There’s nothing to sign up for and no password to remember.
- There are no comments or chat. Nobody can send you messages here, and you can’t send messages to anyone.
- We don’t ask for anything about you. Not your name, your age, your school or where you live. Ever.
- There are no adverts. Nobody is trying to sell you anything.
- If something online ever makes you feel worried, stop and tell a grown-up you trust. You won’t be in trouble.

For grown-ups
- No accounts, comments, forms, newsletters or chat. Children cannot submit anything to this site.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking. We don’t add any analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and pages don’t load scripts, fonts or images from other websites.
- No cookies for visitors. Reading the site doesn’t need cookies. (The only cookies are for the site’s own editors when they log in to make changes.)
- Server logs. Like every website, the computers that host this site keep basic technical records, such as which pages were requested and from which internet address, to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use them to find out who visitors are, and we don’t share or sell them.
- Links. The only links to other websites are on the For Grown-ups page.
- Activities. Physical activities include safety notes. Please supervise anything with batteries or scissors.
